PLOT
"Hakugei: Legend of the Moby Dick" is a science-fiction anime series loosely based on Herman Melville's classic novel, "Moby Dick." Instead of the 19th-century high seas setting of the original novel, the anime takes place in a distant future where space whaling is a common profession. The story follows the adventures of a cheerful young man named Lucky Luck, who aspires to become a legendary space whaler. He joins the crew of the spaceship "Pequod", captained by the charismatic and fearless Ahab. The Pequod's crew is on a mission to hunt down the infamous white space whale, Moby Dick.
